Have you experimented with pinky pumps at all? I used to use them on my Grey Banded Kings and they worked like a charm. Although they have intermittent clogging issues they would save you tons of time and risk.

@amercnwmn It varies from snake to snake, some don't take long, others it seems like forever. I periodically test them by leaving some f/t pinks in the cage with them overnight. They are diurnal so if they don't eat while the lights are on they won't during the night. The 'Buzzard' took a year, all done by my friend Eric.

Hey Al, Great Footage Quick question - I saw kristen at the Kentucky Reptile Zoo feeding their baby Kings inside a tube - It was form-fitted, where the snake would not be able to turn it's head from side to side, and it seemed to work really well, and sinced it's tubed, the risk of being bitten is much less of a risk than hand holding them while force feeding. Any thoughts on why you don't force feed this way?Is there more of a riskto harm the snake that way? Just curious. Cheers! ~Lee

hey al do u own any eastern massasaugas? i live in north central ohio and 2 buddies of mine were out drinking and driving which isnt smart and they found a pregnant female sunning on a gravel road around a state public marshland hunting/wildlife area..she was jet black with darkish tan brown diamond patterns on her..around the marsh area where she was found is1 of the only few areas in the state they exsist,also the marsh area is in what we call the muck,which is1000s of acres of jet black soil

I hope that it wasn't OPMV as that could be quite damaging to your collection if it got loose. with luck it was only a self envenomation. @lordabomity I think I gave it'self a big dose of it's own venom because of that little spot of blood that appeared on it's lower lip. Or when I pushed the pinky down it blocked off the blood flow to it's brain too long. It lived for 4-5 days and looked l wacked out of it....

Wow, the spinning. That must be kind of nerve-wrecking. =/ I first thought it might be the beginning of IBD, becasue of the eyes and the behaviour, but I read some and it doesn't seem like it.
